Having been employed in the Private School sector as curator of grounds (Carey Grammar, Vic. and Sacred Heart College, SA), Local Government sector as senior manager in parks and landscape ( City of Salisbury, SA ) and more recently in the Private sector, Gerard has been involved in major projects including; Project management of turf construction projects including the Little Para Golf Course, Para Hills Bowling Club, various ovals, sports grounds and parks Development of Water Efficiency Management Plans and the Irrigation Efficiency Reporting Model. Operations management of a $ 9.5 million budget responsible for ongoing development and maintenance of parks and open space including management of 80 staff. Development of safe work systems and risk assessment procedures for sports grounds Development of Community Water Grant Submissions
Gerard is a ‘Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor’, holds a Diploma in Applied Science – Urban Park Management, Advanced Diploma in Horticulture and a Graduate Diploma in Management (Uni SA). He is past president and life member of the Turf Grass Association of Australia, member of the Irrigation Association of Australia, and Parks and Leisure Australia. |
